See our beautiful model in the dressing room with both hair and makeup already completed. The photos of the final edited production shots taken by the amazing fashion and editorial photographer Greg Daniels are shown below.

You can achieve this exact look with Avasiare Professional Skincare and Cosmetics, here’s how we made it happen:

Flawless Foundation Primer

Flawless Foundation in Caramel was applied to the entire face using the SHADE IT Professional Makeup Brush

FACE IT Professional Makeup Brush was used to apply Sunkissed Bronze Bronzer to contour and give color to all those sun kissed locations!

‘A Stunning You Enhanced’ Pigment Palette was used to enhance and highlight the cheeks. Watch our instructional makeup video on how to apply the new Stunning You Enhanced palette for best results.

Brows were filled in with our Brazil Nut Pigment using the FRAME IT Professional Makeup Brush (this same color was later used for eye contouring as well)

Eye Pigment in Oyster was applied over the entire eyelid using the SHADE IT & FADE IT Professional Makeup Brush.

Avasiare Pigment colors Copper Glaze, Cole and Brazil Nut were layered in the crease and the outer portion of the eyelid to extend the eye. Pigment color French Lily and our Brightening Dust in ‘White Gold’ was applied to the inner corner of the eye and directly beneath the brow bone to not only help brighten the eye, but to awaken the recessed area of the eye as well.

Onyx Wet/Dry Cake Eyeliner was applied using the LINE IT Professional Makeup Brush to enhance the model’s natural eye shape. Emphasis was given to the outer eye triangle to not only enhance her eyes, but also to give dramatic effect of a fuller, extended eye shape.

Avasiare Lush Lash Mascara in Black was applied to both upper and lower lashes, with Avasiare Glamour Lashes being applied to the top lash line.

Enhanced the smoke effect on the eye by applying Avasiare Cole Pigment, the Cole Pigment was applied using the SOFTEN IT Brush. This same brush was used to soften the dramatic line created with the Onyx Wet/Dry Cake Eyeliner.

The LINE IT Professional Makeup Brush was used to apply the Vitamin E Stick with SPF, our High Impact Lipstick in Cranberry, Brightening Dust in ‘White Gold’ in the center of the lower lip to create depth and fullness. Lastly, Lip Love Vitamin E Gloss for shine.

Extra Oil Controlling Pressed Powder was applied using the WORK IT Professional Makeup Brush to finish the look.

Blowing on Your Makeup Brushes

Posted by Avasiare | Makeup Tips | Thursday 22 July 2010 3:22 pm

Bacteria…

Not exactly what you want to picture when you imagine the inhabitants of your mouth, but lurk there they do. Some bacteria are good for the mouth, come are not so good, but you can be sure…they are there. Researchers have discovered up to 615 and counting different bacteria that reside in the mouth at any one time. The mouth provides the perfect environment for replicating, bacteria couldn’t be more comfy taking up residence there where they are fed a steady stream of sugar and carbohydrates. An article from the Harvard Gazette discusses the different types of bacteria that live in the mouth, Discovering who Lives in your Mouth, but we wouldn’t suggest reading it if you’ve just had lunch.

So why all the bacteria talk?

Have you seen a makeup artist, the cosmetic salesperson in the mall…or maybe even you do it, tap a makeup brush in the pan and then blow on the brush to remove excess powder? This is a habit for many. Imagine just for a moment, when you blow on your brush, that 1 or even 600 of those mouth inhabiting bacteria come flying onto your makeup brush, and then are swiftly applied to the face…back to the makeup pan and repeat. Good, bad, or indifferent, bacteria applied to the face, the makeup brush or the pan is NOT good. Bacteria can cause breakouts, skin irritations, and eye cysts or styes.

So then what can you do to remove excess product from your brush? Simply tap the brush handle on the back side of your opposite hand, and whatever you do, don’t blow!

What about applying false lashes? Many people think blowing on the glue helps the lashes adhere to the lash line. Not true, it should take no more than a few seconds for the glue to become tacky enough to adhere to the lashes. Blowing on the glue is simply not necessary.

It’s unlikely that you will ever see a physician blow on their tools before they get to work on you, so why should a makeup artist, mall salesperson, or even you be blowing on your tools?

We always recommend washing your makeup brushes with antibacterial soap at least once a week. Sometimes we don’t realize the simple habits we do to irritate the skin and cause breakouts.
